What are Human Performance & Human Factors for Airworthiness Organisations?
Human Performance and Human Factors in airworthiness organisations focus on understanding how human capabilities and limitations impact safety, efficiency, and performance in aviation. This includes studying human behaviour and the work environment to minimise errors, optimise procedures, and improve reliability in maintenance, operations, and design tasks.
Course Overview
This comprehensive course provides participants with a deep understanding of the human performance and human factors principles outlined in UK CAA and EASA Part 145 , Part CAMO and Part 21 regulations, specifically tailored for those involved in airworthiness organisations including sub-contractor organisations and suppliers. The course explores how human factors impact safety, performance, and compliance within the airworthiness system from design and productions organisation to continuing airworthiness organisations, while ensuring that participants understand the requirements to maintain compliance with UK CAA/ EASA standards.
By focusing on the interplay between human capabilities, limitations, and the working environment, this course enables personnel to develop the necessary competencies to enhance safety culture, reduce human error, and improve overall operational effectiveness. The course has been recently updated to reflect the Human Performance Principles that ICAO has developed as part of the Doc 10151 Guidance on Human Performance for Regulators.
This course is suitable for aviation professionals surrounding:
