Course Overview

This course covers EMAR (European Miliary Aviation Requirement) 21 for Military Production Organisations and has been designed for participants working for organisations or regulators where the EMAR requirements are invoked. It should be noted that the EMARs have not been adopted by the UK MOD regulatory system, so organisations with contracts linked to the UK MOD should be aware of this.

Production organisations in participating member stated (pMS) need to be able to demonstrate and maintain compliance with EMAR 21 Subpart G for the production of military products, parts and appliances. In this course, you will learn how to achieve this compliance.

  • Designed and delivered by UK CAA EMAR 21 subject matter experts with POA implementation insight
  • Provides best practice understanding of EMAR 21 Subpart G compliance requirements
  • Explores key production processes, including conformity, supplier oversight, and release documentation
What is EMAR 21 Production Organisation Approval (POA)?

EMAR 21 Subpart G, also known as Production Organisation Approval (POA), is a regulatory process established by the European Defence Agency that governs the production of aircraft components and systems. It sets forth the requirements and procedures that a company must adhere to in order to obtain approval as a military production organisation. EMAR 21 Subpart G ensures that manufacturers comply with stringent quality standards, manufacturing processes, and documentation practices to ensure the airworthiness and safety of aircraft and their components. This approval is essential for organisations involved in the production, or assembly of military aircraft parts within the European military industry.

This course is suitable for individuals responsible for compliance or certification within a military production organisation. It is also suitable for those individuals responsible for the oversight of military production organisations, either of subcontractors or from a regulatory perspective.
