Course Overview
This course covers EMAR (European Military Aviation Requirement) 145 for Maintenance Organisations and is designed for participants working for organisations or regulators where the EMAR requirements are invoked. It should be noted that the EMARs have not been adopted by the UK MOD regulatory system so organisations with contracts linked to the UK MOD should be aware of this.

- Designed by UK CAA experienced aviation regulators with practical EMAR 145 implementation expertise
- Provides a clear understanding of maintenance organisation approval and compliance requirements
- Explores regulatory oversight, safety management, and maintenance organisation responsibilities
What is EMAR 145 Maintenance Organisation Approval?
EMAR 145 Maintenance Organisation approval is a regulatory process established by the European Defence Agency to ensure that military aircraft maintenance organisations meet the necessary standards for conducting maintenance, repairs, and inspections. This approval is granted to organisations that demonstrate compliance with specific requirements related to personnel qualifications, facilities, equipment, maintenance procedures, compliance monitoring and safety management systems.
EMAR 145 approval ensures that the military maintenance organisations in participating Member States (pMS) have the capability to perform maintenance tasks safely and effectively, maintaining the airworthiness of aircraft and contributing to the overall safety and reliability of aviation operations. It also involves regular audits and inspections by regulatory authorities (NMAA’s) to ensure continued compliance with the established standards.
This course is suitable for those in Military Maintenance Organisations who conduct Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul; Operating Organisations and regulatory staff from National Military Aviation Authorities (NMAAs) and other Qualified Entities.
