Travelling to Aviation House

Address: Aviation House, Beehive Ring Road, Crawley, West Sussex, RH6 0YR
what3words: ///richer.dress.music

  • Train: Gatwick Airport is the nearest mainline train station, located in Gatwick south terminal. To pre-book tickets, please visit the Southern Railway website.
  • Taxi: There is a taxi rank just outside arrivals at Gatwick Airport.
  • Bus from Gatwick South Terminal: The bus service in the area is operated by “Metrobus“. From the arrivals area in the terminal, follow signs for public bus services. Once on the bus ask for “City Place” (it’s only one stop from South Terminal). It is then a short walk to Aviation House: just follow the road round to the right for about 200m in the direction that the bus departs. Aviation House is on the right just before the traffic lights.
  • Walking from Gatwick South Terminal: There’s a dedicated footpath running alongside the main road and railway line, which takes about 25 minutes to walk. It’s also a great spot for plane spotting, with planes taking off and landing directly above. Finding the footpath from the terminal can be a bit tricky, so here are detailed instructions:
    1. From the arrivals areas in South Terminal, head towards the North Terminal monorail.
    2. Walk past the monorail until you reach its end, then go down the stairs straight ahead to the bottom.
    3. Turn left and walk past the bus stops.
    4. Follow the path that goes under the South Terminal and through a disused car park. You’ll find the footpath from there.

At the end of the footpath, you’ll arrive at the back end of a Saneux warehouse. Follow the building around and go through the main car park towards the main road on the opposite side. At the small roundabout, turn left and continue following the road around, past City Place and the Beehive. Aviation House will be next on your right-hand side. Further details and a map can be found on Google Maps.
