What is Crew Resource Management?
Crew Resource Management (CRM) is a training programme designed to improve safety and efficiency in aviation by focusing on effective teamwork, communication, and decision-making skills among crew members. The course for becoming a CRM Trainer (CRMT) equips participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to deliver engaging and impactful CRM lessons. Emphasising facilitation and instructional techniques, the training ensures that CRMTs can meet regulatory requirements.
Course Overview
This course provides delegates with the theoretical and practical training required to become a Crew Resource Management Trainer (CRMT) within an aviation organisation.
This course gives you the skills in how to deliver effective, engaging CRM lessons to meet the requirements of your operator. We do this with a focus on both facilitation and instructional techniques which allow you to meet the requirements of a CRMT according to the competencies defined in both the regulatory requirements, and CAA Standards Doc 29. It is these standards that you will use throughout the course on your peers, on CAAi staff and on yourself to ensure you are ready and able when the time comes, to deliver your own impactful CRM sessions.
