Course Overview

This course provides delegates with an introduction to the Aircraft Continuing Airworthiness Monitoring (ACAM) Programme and its role within a competent authority’s continuing airworthiness oversight system.

It explains the historical development of ACAM, the regulatory drivers behind its implementation, and how it supports risk-based oversight of aircraft and continuing airworthiness management organisations.

The course provides an overview of CAA regulatory requirements underpinning ACAM and outlines the civil aviation authority’s oversight obligations in relation to continuing airworthiness.

Practical elements focus on planning and conducting effective product sample assessments, identification of Key Risk Elements (KREs), application of CAA checklists, and appropriate recording and management of findings in accordance with CAA protocols.

Delegates should have a basic understanding of continuing airworthiness regulatory frameworks (Part M / Part CAMO / Part 145 as applicable).

Delegates should familiarise themselves with current continuing airworthiness oversight processes within their organisation and any applicable UK/EASA regulatory material relating to product surveillance.
