CAA International (CAAi) has announced that it will be running a Safety Management Systems (SMS) training course in Hong Kong in December 2016.
Developed by UK CAA experts and delivered by Simon Roberts, the UK CAA Programme Lead for SMS, the 3-day ‘Effective Safety Management’ course will provide aviation professionals with the skills and knowledge to competently evaluate the effectiveness of an organisation’s SMS. It will also cover the relationship between the State Safety Programme and an organisation’s SMS and how this links to performance-based oversight.
Based on the ICAO Annex 19 SMS Framework, EASA SMS requirements and the UK CAA SMS Guidance Material, delegates will have the opportunity to benefit from the experiences and observations from current UK CAA oversight activities.
The course will take place on 12-14 December 2016 at the Novotel Citygate Hotel, located just 6km from Hong Kong International Airport.
