
The General Authority of Civil Aviation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has signed an agreement with CAA International to support the implementation of the Kingdom’s new State Safety Programme and National Aviation Safety Plan. The project commenced in July and is now underway.

Maria Rueda, Managing Director at CAA International (CAAi), has announced that she will leave her role in September after more than twelve years at the UK CAA’s international cooperation and training arm.

CAAi recently concluded a comprehensive Safety Management training programme for the State Civil Aviation Agency (SCAA) of the Kyrgyz Republic. The training, conducted by CAAi’s safety management specialist Simon Roberts and senior technical advisor Vladimir Valionkin, took place in Bishkek during June.

We are pleased to announce that CAA International (CAAi) will be exhibiting at Aviation Africa in Abuja, Nigeria on September 13-14, 2023. The theme for this year is the “pathway to realising the African dream – How Africa’s aviation can move to the next level” and will be hosted by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.

CAAi has entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority (RCAA). The purpose of this MoU is to facilitate cooperation in areas of mutual interest and to explore avenues for CAAi to partner with RCAA in the field of aviation training, innovation, and research.

Social enterprise CAA International (CAAi) has pledged £15,000 to the Resilient Pilot programme and training support. The financial contribution will fund 20 places on Resilient Pilot’s 12-month ‘Resilience Development Programme’, which commenced on the 1st of June.
