In 2019, CAAi evaluated of the management systems at the Department of Aviation, Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus. The project was funded by the European Union and delivered in the framework of the Eastern Partnership and Central Asian countries assistance and support in civil aviation (EaP/CA). This project was led by the UK CAA and managed by CAAi.
CAAi’s experts reviewed the specific administration system (safety oversight system) of the Belarus Authority. They then provided a gap analysis in the functional structure and core processes in the areas of Legislation, Organisation, Resources, Safety Management Systems, Safety Oversight and Staff Training.
After the four-day in-country evaluation, our experts proposed improvement recommendations for the functional structure and core processes, implementation plans for new and modified functions and updated training programmes for Belarus’ Department of Aviation.
