What is Part CAMO and Part M?
Part CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation) and Part M are regulatory frameworks that govern the continuing airworthiness management of aircraft. Part M provides the overall framework for the airworthiness management of aircraft, including the establishment of maintenance programmes, the management of airworthiness directives and service bulletins, and the monitoring of aircraft maintenance activities. Part CAMO, on the other hand, specifically addresses the requirements for organisations involved in the continuing airworthiness management of aircraft, such as maintenance organisations and aircraft operators. Part CAMO details the responsibilities, procedures, and documentation requirements for these organisations to ensure the ongoing airworthiness and safety of the aircraft under their management. Together, Part M and Part CAMO provide a comprehensive framework for the maintenance and airworthiness management of aircraft, helping to ensure their safe operation throughout their lifecycle.
Course Overview
This course provides delegates with an introduction to the continuing airworthiness regulations, including the EASA and UK CAA regulations, now the UK has left the EU. It provides a review of the Part CAMO Continuing airworthiness organisation requirements and Part M continuing airworthiness standards
This course is suitable for individuals working in, or with oversight of, the Continuing Airworthiness Management of aircraft to which the Part CAMO and Part M requirements apply.
- Introduction to high-level applicable regulations, including EASA rules and UK CAA rules for continuing airworthiness
- Airworthiness and Continuing Airworthiness concepts
- Part CAMO and Part M overview, Subparts and guidance material
- Practical examples of Part CAMO implementation and how to avoid potential problems
By the end of this course, delegates will demonstrate understanding of the following through practical exercises, review of case studies, and group discussions:

Colin is an Airworthiness specialist with nearly 40 years of experience working in aviation, including over 10 years with the UK CAA. Colin has experience in both military and civilian environments including aircraft & component production, continuing airworthiness for Aircraft Operator’s Certificate (AOC) holders and Non-Commercial Complex aircraft (NCC)/Private operations, maintenance of complex & non-complex fixed and rotary wing aircraft, engines and components, maintenance control, safety management, quality assurance (compliance monitoring), Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft (SAFA) training, management and consultancy. In addition, Colin has extensive experience as an auditor in Continuing Airworthiness, Maintenance & Production environments, under ICAO, EASA and other national regulatory requirements.

Ian has over 35 years of experience in the industry. He is an Airworthiness specialist at the UK CAA ( including ASSI) including British Aerospace, and now BAE Systems. Ian has previously worked as an Avionics design certification specialist on large aircraft and a Part 145 and Part M specialist. Ian is currently delivering our Initial Airworthiness and Continuing Airworthiness training courses and instructing training addressing the airworthiness aspects of Specific Approvals.

Introduction to International Air Law
Andrew has been working in the aviation industry for 47 years, in the areas of aircraft maintenance, continuing airworthiness and as a safety regulator. Andrew is a qualified aircraft maintenance engineer with 17 years of aircraft maintenance experience, on multiple aircraft types, in various roles.
Andrew has been part of the UK CAA for 30 years. During this time he worked with foreign Civil Aviation Authorities and Governments on improving safety standards and levels of compliance with ICAO standards.
Andrew has vast experience of the implementation and application of UK CAA and EASA requirements and he brings this experience to all the courses that he delivers.
